FOUR ITALIAN ARTISTS
LARIA HAS BEEN DESCRIBED BY SOME OF OUR CLIENTS THUS:
‘I LIKE THE WAY LARIA IS IN THE AIR AROUND MY PARTNER WHEN SHE MOVES’
‘I LIKE HOW LARIA CHANGES WHEN WE MAKE LOVE’
‘IT IS A ROUNDED SCENT. IT STARTS VIBRANT AND THEN IT CURVES’
‘IT IS NATURE FROM A DIFFERENT POINT OF VIEW’
WE VISUALIZED THESE COMMENTS IN THE WORK OF FOUR ITALIAN CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS
LARA FAVORETTO WAS BORN IN 1973 IN TREVISO. SHE STUDIED AT L’ACCADEMIA DI BRERA IN MILANO AND KINGSTON COLLEGE OF ART IN LONDON. SHE WON THE PRIZE TO BE ARTIST IN RESIDENCE AT MOMA PS1 IN NEW YORK IN 2001
WILLLY VERGINER, BORN IN BRESSANONE IS A FIGURATIVE SCULPTOR IN WOOD. HE CONTINUES THE BAROQUE WOOD-CARVING TRADITION OF HIS REGION. HE SELECTS THE WOOD FROM THE FORESTS AND WORKS RIGHT THROUGH TO THE FINE SANDING AND PAINTING OF THE LIFE-SIZE SCULPTURES
FRANCESCO CLEMENTE WAS BORN IN NAPOLI, HAS TRAVELED THE WORLD AND NOW LIVES IN NEW YORK. HIS BIG HAND-PAINTED TENTS ARE PROTECTIVE BUT CHALLENGING, EROTIC AND SPIRITUAL
PISTOLETTO WAS BORN IN BIELLA AND STARTED WORKING WITH HIS ART-RESTORER AND ARTIST FATHER. PISTOLETTO’S RECENT WORK INCLUDES THE USE OF ACCUMULATION OF FABRICS. HERE ARE IMAGES FROM AN EXHIBITION OF HIS IN THE ENGLISH BAROQUE PALACE OF BLENHEIM IN OXFORDSHIRE
